MyCharityConnects 2.010 is a two-day conference that aims to build the capacity of the Canadian charitable sector by connecting charities to the technology they need to succeed.

The ways in which we communicate and build community are changing.  Canadians are spending more time in front of computer screens than TV sets; social media tools are proving to be incredibly successful means of engagement; and online giving has increased on average over 50% since 2004.  Charities can’t be left out.  In order to maintain and acquire new supporters, charities need to experience and engage with the various online tools that are available to create awareness, build community and fundraise.

On June 7th & 8th, 2010, with over 200 attendees, CanadaHelps, in collaboration with SiG@MaRS, will be hosting the MyCharityConnects 2.010 Conference as part of Net Change Week.  Join us for the an educational opportunity that will provide you with:

•    Three keynotes, including Non-Profit Social Media Guru and Author Beth Kanter and world-renowned inspirational speaker, Robert Egger
•    A choice of five out of fifteen sessions on a host of social media topics (see below)
•    A space to connect with other charities to share best practices
•    Two breakfasts and two lunches and
•    Registration materials
